Adult Sunday School Classes
Welcome to Waterdam Class is designed to help you learn about our church, our ministries, and our membership. Anyone interested in learning more about Waterdam Church and the EFCA or in becoming a member of Waterdam Church should attend. This six week class meets on Sunday mornings at 10:30 am in Room 102. Please contact the church office for the date the next session begins.
Individuals interested in applying for Waterdam Church Membership must complete this class prior to application. However, attendance at the Welcome Class does not require that you become a member if you are not ready to do so. If you would simply like more information about our church and/or the EFCA, please feel free to register and attend.

9 a.m. Room 108 - Faith Lessons DVD Series with Ray Vander Laan
Led by Russ Hummer
Join renowned teacher and historian Ray Vander Laan as he guides you through the land of the Bible. In each lesson, Vaner Laan illuminates the historical, geographical and cultural context of the sacred Scriptures. Filmed on location in the Middle East, the Faith Lessons DVD series will transform your understanding of God and challenge you to be a true follower of Jesus.

10:30 a.m. Room 107 - Discussions In Living Out Our Faith
Moderated by Dan Emmett
This class will consist of a series of 12 weeks of "Roundtable" type discussions designed to get us thinking carefully and thoughtfully about our Life in Christ. Please consider joining us for this new format as we study God's Word together and discuss topics that include:
- Wisdom and Understanding
- The Fear of God
- What does a Spiritual Church look like?
- Jesus and the Woman at the Well
- God's Providence - What does this mean really
Habits Toward Spiritual Maturity - Learn the habits of life that build our relationship with the Lord. Getting a grasp on the Bible, talking with God, giving back to God, worshiping - regularly pursuing these disciplines develops habits that benefit us spiritually.

Gifted for Ministry - Focusing on the second major purpose of Waterdam Church - Community With One Another, this class will explain why we value Fellowship, then turn toward discovering how God has gifted each of us for Ministry in the church, helping us recognize how God has gifted each of us with abilities that function along with others to build up the body of Christ and to serve others in need. Come and discover your gifts!
Evangelism - Next we turn our attention to Impact In the World With the Gospel: Sharing Your Faith. The class is based on the book and video by Bill Hybels and Mark Mittelbert "Becoming a Contagious Christian". Learn how to be a contagious Christian so that together we can fulfill the mission of sharing Christ with a lost world!
The Board of Elders and Deacons would like to encourage everyone to attend as many of these classes as possible. They not only identify who we are in Christ, but also will lay the foundation for the future ministry of Waterdam Church as we unite to make a difference in our world for Jesus' sake.
