Men's Fellowship - Joe Macala and Lew Wetzel
The Men's Fellowship Group is simply what the group's name indicates. The weekly group meetings provide an opportunity for men from our church, and the community, to meet for Christian Fellowship. There is no agenda, or structure during our meetings. The meetings are merely time for casual conversation about our lives. They provide an excellent way for newer ment in our church to get to know other men of Waterdam Church.

Panera Bread is located at 4127 Washington Road at the intersection of Washington Road (Rt 19) and Waterdam Road in McMurray.
Men's Group - Pete Brooks
"Transforming men's lives in fellowship, Bible study, prayer and ministry." This group meets at the church every Saturday morning from 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. Join us!
Current study - Respectable Sins: Confronting the Sins We Tolerate by Jerry Bridges. As Christians, we believe that all sins are considered equal in God's eyes. Yet while evangelicals continue to decry the Big Ones - such as abortion, adultery, and violence - we often overlook more deceptive sins. It seems we've created a sliding scale where gossip, jealousy and selfishness comfortably exist within the church. Some sins have simply become acceptable. See Pete Brooks or Pastor Jack for a copy of the book.
Young Adults (and College Students too) - Levi Zielinski & Andrew Dunn
This group is for all young adults (college through early 30s) who wish to connect with one another and grow closer to the Lord together. Group meets to fellowship as a body through Bible study and related outings.
Group meets bi-monthly at various locations. Contact levidz99@gmail.com .
Questions? Contact the church office or Levi Zielinski at levidz99@gmail.com or Andrew Dunn.
LIFE242 Groups
A LIFE242 Group is a small, casual gathering where the church body can share their lives and share Christ. LIFE242 groups focus on connecting people on a personal and spiritual level to spur one another on in the faith based on Acts 2:42.
LIFE groups will become an essential part of the community at Waterdam. We understand that living in Christian community is essential for spiritual growth and are continually encouraging people to become active in a small group. We currently have about 50% of our membership and 35% of the Sunday morning congregation attending small group Bible studies and prayer groups. But LIFE groups will involve everyone in the church and have an even broader purpose.
Connecting and Caring Many people today do not feel connected or a part of the body and need to be shown a clear path to be involved at Waterdam as well as to develop friends with believers. Statistics concerning church life indicate 33% to 50% of members do not feel like they belong. This is where plugging into a Life Group will play a critical role in helping you begin developing relationships with your brothers and sisters in Christ.
Do I Fit In? The first thing many of us do when looking at a church we attend is to study those around us. Is there anyone like me? We are starting LIFE242 Groups because we believe this is how you will get to know people. Secondly, people want to know if the people around them really care. Caring for each other beyond Sunday morning is crucial for all of us as we walk through life. Thirdly, people want to know is if there is a place for them to serve. People want to feel like they will count and be able to make a difference. We want you to know that Waterdam has a place for you because your LIFE counts!
A Christian's life is not to be lived independently, but interdependently with other believers. The gifts and abilities God has given each of us are not to be guarded selfishly, but are to be used to promote the spiritual lives of others. The deep and lasting friendships each of us longs for are developed within Life242 groups.
Count Me In The most crucial aspect in the LIFE of the Christian is a relationship with Christ, followed by helping others grow in faith (Transforming Lives Through Jesus Christ). All of us want to experience the joy of Life in the Body of Christ. We need a relationship with Jesus Christ (Intimacy with God), a growing commitment to the Body of Christ (Community with One Another), and lastly a growing commitment to the Work of Christ (Impact in the World with the Gospel) to experience abundant Life in the Body of Christ.
Our life development process is Dynamic and will encourage you to take the next step in your faith life. It is also Realistic. It is people helping people grow one step at a time through the victories and disappointments of life.
Acts 2:42 shows the church gathering for meals, teaching and prayer. Just like the early believers, today's church functions best when members connect with one another to encourage, admonish and support each other. At Waterdam Church, we know that in this fast-paced culture, we have to be intentional about building these relationships with other believers, especially considering how spread out our congregation is around the suburbs of Pittsburgh.
LIFE242 Break-Out
Leadership
LIFE242 is a high-impact arena to strengthen current leaders and develop new leaders. Group members are encouraged to discover their spiritual gifts and use them in the group. LIFE leaders are looking to strengthen other men to the maturity and experience level where they may begin to lead their own LIFE242 group.
Inspiration and Instruction
To truly mature in Christ, believers must have a thorough understanding of His Word. LIFE242 groups offer the opportunity to study the bible by interacting together through a passage. Together the group discovers a proper interpretation of the text and then considers appropriate ways to apply those Truths in everyday life.
Fellowship
Ministering to one another and to our communities may include helping someone on moving day, house repairs, providing meals, offering comfort, along with countless other expressions of Christ's love. Giving and receiving Christian care is a responsibility and benefit of our new lives in Christ, as well as a testimony to friends and relatives.
Evangelism
LIFE groups are challenged to share in our communities. Each group plans outreach events to build relationships with non-Christians in order to share. Friendship evangelism is the most effective way to bring others to Christ.
Each LIFE242 group is encouraged to examine community and social issues in light of the Scriptures and to address social and governmental issues which are contrary to the Scripture. Together, a Life242 group can have an impact in their community far beyond what they could have as individuals.
