HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER OF WATERDAM CHURCH
While Christianity is personal, it is not individualistic. In the Book of Acts, Luke tells us that "the Lord added to their number daily" (Acts 2:47). Membership in a local body of believers is the New Testament pattern.
Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people and members of God's household, ... (Eph 2:19)
They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. (Acts 2:42)
Those who would like to identify in membership with Waterdam Church must make a profession of faith in Jesus Christ. You are also encouraged to participate in our Welcome to Waterdam Class, which will give you an opportunity to learn more about your church family.
There are numerous benefits to membership:
- It identifies you as a genuine believer (Eph 2:19, Rom 12:5)
- It provides a spiritual family to support and encourage you in your walk with Christ (Gal 6:1-2, Heb 10:24-25)
- It gives you a place to discover and use your gifts in ministry (ICor 12:4-27)
